Our rust repair process:
Superficial surface rust can be grinded back and treated with rust converter. Severe rust which has become brittle with visible holes must be cut out and replaced with a new sheet metal substitute. To ensure we deliver durable rust repairs, the rust affected area is:
cleaned and grinded down
once everything is down to bare metal we make an assessment of repairs that are needed
depending on the severity of the rust, we plan a repair/treatment process to suit:
surface rust- is further treated with rust converter for extra protection
existing holes due to rust - are cut out completely & a brand new metal sheet substitute is sha[ed and welded into place.
Epoxy primer is applied to seal & protect the areas from any ambient humidity before we move to any other processes, such as Priming & Painting.
